In remembrance of Easton Chimusaru, who passed away on February 5, 2025, son of Major Abel Makachi Chimusaru and Major Mrs. Lizzie Chimusaru, and brother of Major Emma Chimusaru. As a dedicated Salvation Army soldier, he instilled strong faith in his children, Kevin and Pamela, and his wife, Alice. They stood by him throughout his life particularly his wife during his illness. In Zimbabwe, he worked for the Ministry of Industry and Technology. Then took up a post as Chief auditor for Bata shoe company. He had a lovely large house in Gweru but decided to move to Harare to support his family. Later he moved to Mabelreign then Houghton Park, followed by the UK. He gave up successes in Zimbabwe to facilitate his children's university education. While not wealthy in the UK, he was a generous giver, possessing a calm yet resolute character and a commitment to righteousness. He enjoyed leisurely pursuits such as holidays, dining out, and walks, particularly appreciating the outdoors and the seafront. His unwavering faith in Jesus Christ guided his life, and he would fearlessly participate in congregational Salvation Army marches before he became unwell. His final message to his family, "God is our leader, never mistrust or blame God. We are a family of God and trust him," reflected his enduring belief, a sentiment I believe he would wish extended to all believers. Accordingly, I propose a donation to the Salvation Army in his honor, to further their charitable work for the glory of God.
