Mary worked as an extremely valued member of the team of old age psychiatrists at Moorgreen Hospital for 10 years from 1979 until her retirement. Mary had particular skills in the treatment of depression and in psychotherapy especially. We were very lucky to have her in the team.
Mary was much appreciated for her gentleness and sense of fun, sharing in the staging of the occasional practical joke with colleagues. Very hospitable parties at her home in Hill Lane were always great events and full of laughter.
