Gathering together remembering the different ways and memories shared with Geoff and his family, we personally are grateful for having Geoff as a wonderful, caring neighbour for so many years. My sons remember you could set your watch by Geoff as he would go for his regular keeping fit run round the park or coming to the door in his apron usually serving up tasty meals, with the smells permeating out the door making you feel hungry. Geoff was well travelled with his job and we often had conversations of places we had visited and compare notes. Geoff’s memory and knowledge was impeccable and was a lovely gentle giant who has touched so many lives, will be sadly missed, but will be forever remembered. It has been a pleasure and a more enriched life for knowing Geoff and grateful to have his lovely wife Anne and Gavin as neighbours.

I send my heartfelt condolences to Ann, Gavin and Richard.
I have Fond memories spent on Broadstairs beach with Geoff, Anne, Georgina and Les. Richard, Gavin and myself grew up together during the summer holidays in Broadstairs. They were great times which brought enjoyment and lots of laughter. From Punch and Judy to trampolining, swing ball and lots of swimming in the sea followed by rounders on the hard sand when the tide was out.
So pleased that Georgie and I managed to get to see Geoff in June and enjoyed a lovely day with you all.

Dear Geoff,
70 happy years of knowing you and many fond memories of holidays spent with you and the family at Christmas and at Broadstairs on the beach at the chalet.

The most memorable days on the beach were in the days when all the children had 2 shillings and sixpence to spend on their last day of holidays to buy a knickerbocker glory at Morellis our favourite Ice-cream place.

One day in particular Richard wanted to see Mr Punch and Judy and Geoff being Geoff said 'you can't have both, your Ice-cream and watch Mr Punch. Les turned to me and said 'Come on George we'll be Punch and Judy'. We then went into the chalet pulling the curtains back and forth to 'Hello Mr Punch, Hello Mrs Judy'. Doing our Punch and Judy act, the biggest laugh we had was that we had more spectators sitting round the chalet watching us than watching the real Punch and Judy which meant the children still had their Ice-cream money!

You will always be in my thoughts, Rest in peace, Dear Geoff.

Georgie xx
