Zara Alice Cheesman, beloved daughter of Judith and Mark and sister of Alec, tragically died on the 23rd of December 2024 at the age of 15 due to bacterial meningitis. She was incredibly kind, empathic, intelligent, funny, often stubborn, and heavily opinionated, having always cared deeply for those close to her. She had a love of literature, music and drama from a young age. After dabbling in many sports, she uncovered a talent for sprinting and wanted to return to athletics and football.
Zara cared deeply about the problems in the world, driven by her staunch feminist beliefs and intended to become a human rights lawyer.
Gone too soon, she was forever loved and cherished. She is greatly missed by her parents, Alec, her grandparents, aunts/uncles, cousins, and friends.
Her Funeral service will be held on 1 February 2025 at 12 p.m. at St Mary’s Church, Nottingham.
