In loving memory of Carole Goldsbrough who sadly passed away on 22nd December 2024

Ros Penton donated £40 in memory of Carole

Dear Ruth and Ben, we know how heartbroken you and your lovely families are but you gave Carole the most wonderful goodbye! She was such a kindhearted person who we loved to bits and we had the privilege of being a friend to her and you all for many many years. It’s hard to say farewell but we have so many happy memories which always bring a smile 😊
We are always here for you all 💜

Ben & Ruth,
I was a colleague of your mothers until some 35 years ago when I moved off to another part of the Surrey County machine. We did meet on a few occasions in the interim, notably at your dads big birthday, but not often enough. In saying goodbye to Carole today I learnt, as is often the case at these times, a lot more than I new of her previously. My wife who could not be with me as she was doing what Carole did so well, volunteering. She only met your mum three or four times but got the measure of her almost instinctively saying " She was a very lovely, caring and thoughtful person." as I left the house.

I also became aware of what I must have missed in the last part of her life"

I wanted to say some of this to you personally but you were comforting others and I had to get away to one of those annoying committee meetings that Ruth referred to

We will remember Carole with affection and for kindnesses she and Mike extended to me.

We both send our kindest condolences to you all.

Doug & Julie

Carole, a wonderfully kind and thoughtful woman who was a neighbour 15 years ago and remained a friend. Never forgot our birthdays and we always enjoyed Carole’s artwork on every envelope that was carefully thought out and linked with us and our children personally. Sending all our love at this sad time xx
