I worked with Ian teaching at Ludlow Middle School for 10+ years. He had such musical talent and I learnt so much from him by helping to rehearse and organise the annual Christmas concert under his leadership. These were indeed happy years. Kind and so sociable , with a ready sense of humour, he has remained a true friend and his passing is a great loss. It has been a privilege to know him all these years.

Thanks for re-newing our relationship Ian - alas a little too late but you will have brought our daughters together with me so many thanks
I have memories of our childhood - one sliding down the blue shiny bricks of the side of the railway bridge - you ripped your trousers but I put my dress in my pants - we both had sore behinds but we had countryside fun!!!

Ian was such a dear and cherished friend. He will be so sadly missed and will continue to be remembered, loved and cherishe. He was a wonderful teacher, inspiration to me over decades and shared his passion and love of theatre so enthusiastically. He was so welcoming and hospitable to me and he had such an awesome sense of humour. I will miss him so much. May he rest in eternal peace.
