Dearest Alan, I'm so saddened to hear of your passing. You were the perfect mentor at the Opticians, and I will never forget the support and the kindness you showed me during my time with you. I have very fond memories, that I will treasure forever.

I am so deeply sorry to hear of Alan's unexpected passing. He was always so supportive and kind when I worked with him all those years at D&A and then Boots. My first manager, what seems like eons ago! Alan's quiet humour and gentle leadership were such wonderful qualities to be around. My sincerest condolences to Karen and the boys. I can't imagine what you must all be going through. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers xx
