Mr John you were a lovely man and will be missed by many. I have fond memories of droping Lynn home after our travels around the UK and always being met by you on the driveway with a glass of wine but this is my favorite memory ice cream in Sorrento

Weve bought a cherry tree for the garden to remind us of all the Bakewell tarts you devoured and always tried to hide from the rest of the family🀣

John, though it has been many years, I have such fond memories of visits to Barnsley and Devon. You always made me feel welcomed and part of the family. Thinking of James, Ellie, Lynn and your whole family x x x

John - so many memories of your practical skills, your love of cars, your fast driving! Much more important, though, your loyalty, your affection and kindness, your concern for others. Chris and I will never forget our last lovely holiday with you and Lynn in Somerset in March - or our famous night on the Solent Spitbank Fort when you were celebrating your 70th birthday. Elaine and Chris xx

Thank you coz, a bright new plant called John will now go in my garden. Looking at it I will remember childhood Sundays and getting down on the floor to play with my boy coz instead of the sophisticated girl cousins. Happy, family times . We send our love to all those dear to you xx

Mr John, I firstly wanted to thank you for making me feel welcomed whenever I came to visit and what wonderful moments and memories we had shared over the years. I am going to these. I will also miss the chats we had over a glass or two or three and your grumpiness when I managed to stack the dishwasher badly but most of all, we will all miss you. A part of you may no longer with us but you will never be too far away from our thoughts and memories. Miss you buddy 😭🌷
