In loving memory of Donald John Dimmick who sadly passed away on 25th March 2024

Don lived his life the way he wanted to.
He enjoyed his years as a young man doing the usual stuff of drinking, smoking and betting on the horses for fun!! He married his childhood sweetheart Ann in 1952 after meeting her in 1939. 71 years of wedded bliss was to follow.
His passion for football both playing and TV watching was to last a lifetime.
His work ethics were second to none and even though he had various tasters his heart was with Morgan’s Timber Yard were he worked for 42 years until he retired nearly 30 years ago.
He was a happy chappy who loved his family very much and he had no regrets about anything.
He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
He was a LEGEND. 🖤

Don.Thanks for all the great childhood memories including taking me to football on sundays in your cortina All the cokes and crisps you brought me after. All the advice you gave me about looking after me medals.
I still fondly remember how you never got wound up by footballers shouting at you while being linesman.
This was a sign of a very special easy going gentlemen that I recognised as young lad .May you RIP with your Anne and Steve .
Thanks again never forgotten
Adam
