I have fond memories of Fred. I remember the urgency, and his remarkable determination and strength in tackling and completing jobs, whether for his family or friends. Fred was so excited at other’s good fortune and achievements. He was particularly proud of his grandson James. It was remarkable how he was able to calculate his horse racing winnings in his head at an advanced age. Fred always placed accumulator bets and was very often so disappointed that a horse’s placing had stopped him having that BIG win.

Dear Fred it was a great pleasure ☺️☺️ to know you 😊. I will always remember laughing 😂 with you when you very kindly did lots of painting for me in my house 🏡🏡🏡.

Fred had an amazing wit and we used to laugh about so many things and some which are not suitable to share. It will not be the same looking across the road and seeing that he is no longer watching me working. I was pleased that he was in the same home as my Dad and I liked to see him when I visited my father. RIP Fred.
