It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our amazing dad, John, who peacefully passed away on the 20th February. Dad certainly made a lasting impression and will be sorely missed by everyone he met.

The funeral will be held at Beckenham Crematorium (BR3 4TD) on 14th March at 12 noon. We would very much like you to join us at the New Inn (Regans BR2 7EB) at 1:15 for a “drink or two” and a chance for us to share the great memories we have of our wonderful dad.

For those who are unable to attend, the service will be streamed and recorded.

It was lovely for me to be able to say goodbye to you today.
I will always think of the good times we had both at and outside of work.
Both you and Jenny raised 3 lovely kids who did you proud today.
Every time I have a Guinness I'll be thinking of you. Mac

John,
You lit up our lives every day that we saw you, of which there were many.
You were the kindest neighbour and friend, who did so much for us and others.
There were such a lot of laughs over the decades, along with all those times when you teased us (or rather, Sue!).
Memories last forever and you'll never ever be forgotten.
Our loss is heaven's gain, and Farnaby Road will certainly never be the same.

The first time I met John was on a job at Brixton tube . We hit it off as he had a very dry sense of humour . I can’t really say what he said to a chap who was relieving himself on the site entrance but trust me it was a classic . Small in height but looking every inch like Clint Eastwood with his cigar . My consonance to all the family x
