In Loving Memory of Professor John Bullingham, who sadly passed away on 18th February 2024.
John Michael Bullingham, (86), of Honley, Huddersfield, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday 18th February 2024.
John was born to Bill and Flossy Bullingham on 29th December 1937 in Royston, Barnsley. He was their only child. He was fun loving, a talented athlete who represented his school, District and county at Athletics.
He attended Normanton Grammar School and received a place at University College London to study electrical engineering. He had a life of academic success and became a University Professor and Dean of Faculty at Huddersfield University.

John is survived by his wife Christine and three children and their partners, Andrew and Helen, Sarah and Andrew and Jane and Alan. He also has 6 grandchildren Emily, Gracie, William, Edward, Harry and Freddie.

Aside from his love for athletics, John was passionate about all sports. He loved football, cricket, tennis and encouraged a love of sport in his children and grandchildren. He loved music, especially classical, brass bands and Frank Sinatra. He also loved to play these on the piano. He was always the first to tell a joke or funny story often at the head of the table with glass of wine in hand.
His family and life long friends were his world. A life well lived and he will be truly missed.
