In loving memory of Doreen Adams who sadly passed away on 14th February 2024

Our wonderful Doreen was born, raised and lived in Southend her whole life, the youngest of 4 siblings. She married Roy when she was 21 and they had a happy life together till his passing in 2006. After this tragic event, she chose to live life to the fullest, she tried new things, travelled to new places and gained new experiences.
She loved fiercely and always had a smile or a friendly wave.

Doreen worked in Westcliff for as long as anyone can remember, in the green grocers and then at the dry cleaners and every school child that passed these businesses knew exactly who she was and they loved her dearly.

She was a keen cake maker and excellent darts player and enjoyed playing in local competitions with her team, she was a wonderful lady always willing to help anyone, whether it be sewing a button on a shirt, doing the odd shop for friends or neighbours or anything inbetween.

To her loved ones she was sunshine on a cloudy day, a rose between thorns and the cherry on the top of that cake

She achieved so much and had a life filled with love, laughter, happiness and more . She was an amazing nan, mum, godmother, friend, aunt, and companion and will be greatly missed.

Doreen was a big part of my sister Patsy's family, and meant so much to them. We remember Doreen for her generous nature, happy smiling face and her wonderful Christmas cakes.
