Brian Evans of Beeston, Nottinghamshire was the husband to Mary, father to Paul, and grandfather to Thea and Martin. He will be missed by his sisters, Kathleen and Eileen, his daughter-in-law Andrea, nephews Marcus, Adrian and Jonathan, and many friends and relatives throughout the UK and Ireland, and beyond.

Born in Stapleford to Sam and Kathleen Evans. After completing his National Service in the RAF, Brian married Mary in 1963 and worked as an Engineer's Fitter at Stanton & Staveley. In his later career he was seconded to Nottingham University and went on to train apprentices at Skillcentres, eventually becoming a lecturer in Further Education, teaching maths and engineering skills to apprentices.

He was also an accomplished artist and furniture maker, leaving a legacy of beautiful paintings, handmade clocks and other furniture.

A second-generation Irishman (on his mother's side) Brian was active in the Nottingham Irish community, helping to organise the annual St Patrick's Day parade. In later life, Brian suffered from Parkinson's - an illness that he bore with dignity and courage. He was a very active contributor to the local Parkinson's group, and for this reason, would like to ask that his funeral features family flowers only, and that - if mourners wish - contributions could instead by made to Parkinson's UK uaing the button below to help treat and cure Parkinson's Disease.
