Rest in peace Gerard, karting will never be the same without you!

Great memories on so many occasions that will live forever in our hearts.

Thank you for all you did for Paulie and Christian, teaching them not only about karting, teamwork, taking responsibility but also how to be a man. Barbara and I are eternally grateful.

How can we ever forget the calls of 'Child Bride' , 'Dog Roll', 'Get your hat on Doris' and many more!

All our love - Paul, Barbara, Paulie, Christian & Emma

Gerard was a giant and legend of karting. A true one-in-a-billion who could *never* be replaced. In our time in karting, he was the only person who always acted in the interests of the sport and the competitors. As a result, the good parts of karting are there *because* of Gerard. On a personal level too, he was one of the absolutely nicest people you could ever wish to know. A true loss to everyone that knew him, on all levels. RIP, Gerard! Our hearts go out to Maria and his family. xxx

To Maria and family and the Project One Team and Community, what a terrible and sad loss. Gerard was the first person we spoke to when James was starting his karting career and he didn't say much but what he did say was worth its weight in gold, an incredibly nice, honest and supportive person and team manager, never afraid to say it how it was but in the right manner and loyal to his drivers/team and a true inspiration. Thank-you for all you did for us especially James starting off and towards the end of his 'career' when we came back to the team x
