Margaret, your final years were spent away from the family because of your health issues. Although we came to visit you on a weekly basis, you were always in our prayers and our thoughts. It came as such a shock when you became ill and were taken into hospital. We as a family rallied round and were by your bedside 24/7 and we witnessed how strong and brave you fought to stay with us, but sadly the lord said my dear Margaret it is time to let go and come to me, I will take you to a place where you can rest and be pain free. So we kissed you and said our goodbyes and thanked you for being in our lives, and we'll meet again.

Looking back at the earliest memories i have of my sister Margaret Was in 30 Harvey Street which was our family home off Templemore ave Belfast
30 Harvey Street was a small two up and two down wee house with a scullery which measured 6ft x 3ft with a sink Jaw box a kitchen cupboard and a gas cooker This wee room was used as a kitchen and a wash room Many an argument was caused when brothers and sisters were busting to use the outside toilet But couldn't because someone was getting washed in the scullery
Margaret was the one who used to stand guard while i got washed or using the outside toilet
Joined to the scullery divided by a brick wall was a wee room which was filled with our daddies junk Newspapers and stuff
My sister Elizabeth who was a few years old than Margaret and i used to go into this room and play hide and seek with the light off
I could go on and on typing pages of my memories of Margaret But to sum up my sister Margaret she had an amazing memory of family birthdays
For fun i used to test her and ask when was ?? Born ? And she was always spot on lol
In her later life which was spent in the nursing home When i visited her i used to go on to YouTube and pick out one of her favourite songs Just to get her to sing it and she always did This give me so much pleasure To know that inspite of her physical and emotional status Margaret held onto her love of singing 💖
I've no doubt she'll be one of the first to join in with the angels above Bless her 🙏 xx

We would also sincerely take this opportunity to thanks Wayne from Stephen McCosh funeral directors Newtownards road for the way he has helped the family organise Margaret's funeral, Right from the start he put us at ease by saying this is about you the family, dealing with your loss and your grief in laying your love one to rest, It's not about worrying about payment for the funeral, This can be dealt with at a later stage, Wayne has been very caring and professional with his service to all the family members, I would strongly recommend Wayne and Stephen McCosh Funeral services to anyone who sadly may need to use his services in the future.

We as a family would like to announce the very sad news of the death of Margaret Hampton of 13 Duke Street Belfast, formally known as Margaret Dickson of 30 Harvey street.
Wife of Jim Hampton, Mother to Louise (Davy) and Jim Hampton, Grand Mother to Claire, Scarlet, Sophie and James, Sister to Betty, Florence, Billy and John Dickson.
Margaret was taken by ambulance from the Arches Care Home upper Newtownards Road on Thursday 18th January To the Royal Victoria Hospital and was treated in the emergency department for a Gallbladder infection, Sadly complications set in and Margaret passed away in the early hours of Monday 22nd January.
Margaret fought so so bravely to hold onto life, but sadly the Lord knew Margaret had suffered enough and took Margaret home to his kingdom, to a land where pain is no more. Margaret's family Jim, Louise, Claire, Betty, Billy, John and Billy were by her bedside throughout the final days of her journey and were able to hold her hand in the final moments of life, although we are all sad and grieving of losing Margaret as a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Sister we can take some comfort that Margaret was not alone in her final moments of life on this earth and we pray that one day we will see her again. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Nursing staff, the Auxiliary staff and the Doctors of the Royal Victoria Hospital for the caring way, Professionalism, and support they showed in taking care of Margaret during her final days, also the support they showed towards us as a family during our time in Ward 6B while we were supporting Margaret.
We would also like to thank all the staff at the Arches Care Home for taking care of Margaret during her time there, they showed her such love and care and did their very best to make Margaret's life there as pleasant, happy and caring as possible. There will be a service for Margaret at 1-30 pm on Wednesday 31st January from the Stephen McCosh Funeral Directors 248-250 Newtownards Road before going to Roselawn Crematorium for a service at 2.40pm the same day. People are welcome afterwards to join with the family at the Dundela Social Club to celebrate Margaret's life.
