What an amazing man, absolute grafter. Col, you showed me so much kindness, guidance and support when I set up on my own.
I hope you knew in life how special you were. Sleep tight now x

Colin, you did what you said, and played until the season ended, you were the bravest person I know. Your sense of fun and your humour throughout illness was illuminating, and if there's a bowling green upstairs you will be on it already.RIP Col

RIP Colin … remembered from our times drinking in moderation at the white swan , a typical Spondon lad , caring , nice and a good laugh . It has been just over 40 years since our last pint but it is remembered like it was yesterday.RIP good man

Colin you were remarkable with your strength and positivity, generous to a fault, a very good bowler and I would make sure you were always first on the team sheet !!

I’m so sorry it took us so long to get back in touch! Approximately 40 years later and we carried on the banter as if it had been a week! Loved having you back in my life for your final few months. It was a pleasure x
