In loving memory of Kathryn Sarah Biles who sadly passed away on 22nd December 2023 aged 47 years. Mother of Chloe Shannon, Partner to Francois Wachtelaer, Daughter of Christopher & Pat Biles and Sister of Alex Biles.
My mum was a beautiful, kind and intelligent women who had a huge love for animals and spent many years teaching animal care at MidKent College. When teaching, she was dedicated and had the best sense of humour, loved by many of her past pupils. She eventually moved onto her ideal job working at the local libraries where she got to work with her other passion, books! She also enjoyed her gaming, where she met her loving partner Rin. My mum will always be my biggest inspiration - she taught me to be kind, always think for myself and my love of cats. I'll forever miss you mum, Chloe x

Kate was a wonderful teacher and colleague. She was a valuable member of the Animal Care team -dedicated, committed & with great sense of humour. She was always a pleasure to work with. I am devastated that she has passed away so young. My deepest sympathy to all her family and friends.

Just a brief message to say how sorry we were to hear the news about Kate and send our condolences and best wishes to her friends and family .
We met her fairly recently really- as sisters in law caring for our grandchildren. We attended her shake wiggle and giggle sessions at Wigmore Library . Kate took over this group at short notice and we loved her enthusiasm and kind caring ways with the children each week. The sessions were always such fun as she read to and sang with the toddlers. She always noticed and included each child and made them each feel special.
Even though we did not know Kate well as a person she really touched our lives and Carol ,James, Olivia, Alfie and I appreciated her and her lovely sessions very much indeed and will always remember her with great affection .
