Mum was a person who enjoyed the simple things in life. Never liked to rock the boat or upset anyone or put anyone out but always there for everyone else. Her unbounded energy before she got ill was a reflection of her mother (nan) who also zipped around like a whirlwind and mum inherited that trait. Always stayed true to herself and that is demonstrated by the sheer amount of people that became good friends over the years from far and wide especially the foreign holidays - would talk to anyone our parents. Bought both Andrew and I up to have the same values and to always respect others and be grateful for the things in life we had achieved. Treat others how we expected to be treated ourselves. Both mum and dad gave us a great start in life and the help whenever we needed it but were equally as quick to bring us back down to earth or clip round the ear when needed. Its easy to see your own character traits you inherit from your parents and I guess I follow mum in many which I am particularly proud about. So sad that her last years were not zipping up and down to the bowling green and enjoying her time after the amazing job she did with dad during the 2 years of his illness. But until that point she had an amazing life and saw plenty of the world, a better world than we live in now so very happy for that and that now she is at rest with dad and not enduring the daily struggles, despite which she still remained upbeat and zipped around Flowers Manor as best she could rounding everyone up. Will always remember the happy times but took comfort in the fact the Flowers staff loved her like most other people did and she is not gone just somewhere else in the Universe on the next part of her journey. Miss you mum love you :(
