John Francis Wright (13 Aug 1933 - 23 Nov 2023)

On 23rd November 2023, at his home of five and a half years at Royd Court, Mirfield, aged 90 years, John, formerly of Colchester and Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, passed into the presence of Jesus; husband of Margaret Iris Wright (née Warton, 1933–2013); much loved father of Maggie Syrett, Simon Wright, Phil Wright, and Paul Wright; father-in-law to Nick, Paula, Angie, and Jackie; proud grandfather of Jonny, Helena, Louise, William, Dan, Ben, Annie, Matt, Sammy, Emily, Rob, and Toby; great grandfather to Grace, Isabella, Jessica, JoJo, Phoebe, Katie, Theodore, Elliot, and Malcolm; and brother to Brian (b 1932) and Tony (1933–2017).

A service of committal will be held at Dewsbury Moor Crematorium on Thursday 14th December 2023 at 12:30pm. Family gather at Royd Court to leave at 12:00pm.
A thanksgiving service for John’s life will be held at Zion Baptist Church, Mirfield, at 1:30pm.
Refreshments at Royd Court at 2:45pm.
