Hello Wilfred, I thought the name was familiar, you probably don't remember me from Brock . I was in the same year. I used to sing with Steve Ball and his group he had, in the fourth form club. Evan and I made contact in 2008 after his marriage broke up and we moved to the Cotswolds in 2009 and had some very happy years together until he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. we had moved to Nottingham to be near my family so we had support with caring for Evan. I am only just getting adjusted to life without him, he was such a lovely person. As you say brings back some great memories! I hope you are enjoying life in France and you are in good health. My sincere condolences on the passing of Evan. I have only just read the news - nearly 3 years after his death. I was born a day before Evan in Fordingbridge Cottage Hospital and, together with Stephen Ball, were good friends in Ringwood. We travelled together by train to Brockenhurst Grammar School but Evan left after a couple of years when his family moved to Portsmouth. We lost touch when he joined the Navy but did have a brief correspondence after he had moved to the West Country. Sadly. Stephen died several years ago but this news has brought back some great memories!
