Dear Bill,
Our football trips with Chris and others will always stay in my memory including your ability to stay out even when the youngsters had retired to bed.

It was a privilege to have spent time in your company and laughed at your stories.

Rest easy and well my friend

Dear Bill,
Many thanks for the memories, I shall never forget our outing to the England legends match at The Stoop and me, after a couple of drinks, deciding to introduce myself to John Smit with yourself and Chris looking on wondering what I'd say next! You've been a family friend for as long as I've been alive, we all hold you in our prayers. Rest easy now, Simon

Dearest Bill, you will always be remembered. We first met 45 years ago at Crayford speedway and then experienced many "away" trips with Hackney. We lost contact but met up again in thr late 1990s in a chance meeting on the way to watch Charlton FC. From that day onwards you became a close friend and part of our extended family enjoying dinner every speedway gp weekend. We thought we lost you six years ago, but you were not ready and the the inspiration of your nephew Alex and the love and support from Christopher, Ishbel and your wider family and friends we got you back on your feet and home. It makes me smile thinking about your exploits, pub crawls and falls, yes there were a few of both, trips to Belgium and fishing with friends. You were the prefect tour guide when we went to Munich a couple of times. However, the support you gave our son Danno, during his speedway career, both sponsorship and words of support and encouragement will never be forgotten. It's time to rest now, so rest in peace our dear friend. Love you always. Kay, Steve, Kayleigh, Danno and families xxxx
