In loving memory of Dr Patrick Adcock

Former General Practitioner at
Burgess Road Surgery, Southampton.

Patrick was pleased to be granted a practice vacancy. Growth and stability enabled him to enter into a partnership; retiring eventually as the senior of three.

When the medical school opened in Southampton in 1972 he soon began medical student teaching; sitting for a while on the board of the medical faculty as a representative of non-academic GPs and, as such, was the first to be asked to act as an examiner at the BM examination.

He liked playing Bridge and held a season ticket at Southampton FC for 43 years. He enjoyed a long retirement with his wife Sheila whom he had met when she was a student nurse. She died in 2021 after 66 years of marriage.

Died peacefully on 11th October 2023 aged 95.
Father to Peter, Sally and Katy. 
Grandfather to 7 and Great Grandfather to 2. 

The Funeral Service will take place
on Monday 6th November 2023
at Test Valley Crematorium,
Romsey, at 1.00 pm
