Donated in memory of a great, family man who I regularly saw at Our Lady's Bulwell whilst growing up. Mr Sweeney (as I always called him) leaves a great legacy with his loving children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. I am making this donation on behalf and in memory of my own Granddad - Bill Gribben - who 'did the collection' with Mr Sweeney in the late 90's/early noughties.

Love to Sharon and all of the family

David Peck

Uncle Michael
So many fond memories of you, Christmas Party's dancing in your front room, holidays in Mablethorpe and Devon when your car broke down and we had to be rescued by the AA
Later when you were there for me at the City hospital when we lost Charlotte and of so many visits with my mum to see you and Aunty Sheila on a Thursday afternoon when we would talk about the state of Nottingham Forest, anything Medical and all things gardening its the end of an Era
You will be missed by so many
Sending lots of love to all the family

Dear Michael I always enjoyed your presence when ever we met ,be it in the church hall or one of our many family gatherings ,it was good to hear your words of wisdom of how Forest were playing and current events.
I thank you for your kindness to my three children on the birth of each of them with crossing their palms with silver . We are all sad to see you go ,but I am sure people will raise a glass for you for along time to come.God bless you

You'll be sorely missed Dad, it really was a blessing to have such an understanding and compassionate father; you may be gone, but your influence remains, casting a benign light on what remains of my life, me fast approaching the biblical three score years and ten. And so many memories - frolicking in the garden of the Old Pear Tree (sips of beer and crisps with little blue packets of salt), the childhood wonderland that was Mablethorpe (caravans and the smell of calor gas), Mum and you dancing the waltz (true romance), our trip together to Aunt Bridie's funeral (Oh! What adventures we had), Yes, so many memories, far too many for this short eulogy. So, fare thee well Dad, our lives may be brief but how we live them echoes in eternity, and your life echoes ever so sweetly to the ear.
