Dear Nana,
I'm so sorry I wasn't able to write to you on the 22nd like I said I would, and that I wasn't able to visit you in time.
I will miss seeing you at Christmas, and your cards. I remember being so excited when I was little and getting to see you and Grandad.
I promised to give you an update on the course so I will do that now. I'm learning lots of very interesting things (such as that libraries flood all the time, beware of bedbugs, and the delicate balancing act of which books to buy, which to loan, and which need to be weeded), and all my coursemates are very kind and friendly. My course leader is very approachable, and goes to pains to make sure his classes are as accessible as possible. We often have guest speakers, so we're getting a lot of different perspectives, and we have frequent class discussions, so we learn from each other as well.
I wish you were still with us.
