On Saturday 26th August 2023 a shining light went out in our lives, we lost a beautiful wife, mum, and friend. Nicola was an amazing lady with a big heart. She was generous, kind, clever, whitty and funny.
She loved her husband, children, step-children, friends and work colleagues, and was always thinking of others. We will miss her thoughtfulness, her sense of humour and being there as a loving wife and a good friend to those who were lucky to know her. She lived with a chronic pain through a physical illness for many years but never burdened anyone about how she was feeling, always putting on a brave face. We wish we knew how difficult day to day life had got and been able to help her shine bright but now she is free from the pain she was suffering. She will be missed greatly by all that loved her and never forgotten.

Nicola, I only met on the one occasion, but very much so Nicola left me with a lasting gift and showed me what resilience really was. My thoughts are continually filled with love and hope for the loved ones of Nicola and how much love there was in this world for her. May you rest in peace Nicola and I hope you receive the love we are sending everyday when we think of you.

Nicola…..you were a truly amazing lady.
Kind, thoughtful and generous, you always thought of everyone else before yourself, never burdening others with your pain.

Nic, you were just beautiful inside and out, or 'Nic nac noo' as you always laughed at being called. This is one obituary message I never thought I would ever write, nor ever wanted to. Rest in peace my lovely angel, you will forever be in my thoughts eternally. I just hope you have found peace God bless you xx

I miss you already my dear friend,
I can't believe your life has come to an end,
I was lucky enough to spend many an hour with you,
We had loads of laughs and some spats too,
You always had a kind and generous spirit,
But your pain was so much that you couldn't take it,
Your name will appear on many a DWP letter,
A fitting tribute to remember you forever,
So many lives you touched over the years,
When you are remembered there will be so many tears,
I pray you're at peace now your sun has set,
I promise you now we will never forget.
