Madeleine Ann Spice (19 Oct 1946 - 2 Jul 2023)

Madeleine has been a very good friend from the very first time her husband Terry introduced me to her as his School Secretary. We grew closer and closer until our families merged as one enjoying many holidays and Christmas and Easters together. As my children turned older and Terry retired from school, we slowly drifted apart, but I am glad to say that we had started to build our relationship again following a chance meeting when Madeleine was in the same ward as my mum in Medway Hospital. I had hoped that we would eventually return to being the great shopping palls we had once been. Alas, that was not to be. I will miss you Madeleine.

We will miss you. My memories include sitting under the table with you while watching the Queen's coronation (my first TV experience), and I remember picking you up and taking you to work at Sharp's in Maidstone.

Years of friendship we will treasure.
