In loving memory of Alastair Bain who sadly passed away on 1st May 2023, aged 65 years. Loved and missed by all his family and friends.

Janice Jones donated £15.99 in memory of Alastair

Lots of fond memories of drinking Port with Al in PJ's kitchen after an evening listen to music at The Compasses. Then he met his lovely Ali, and your time together was sadly ended by such a cruel disease. Thinking of you Ali and also Al's family.
Love Janice

Son, Brother & Uncle. Alastair, known as Big Al, was a strong, popular, loyal and fair man, he made many life-long friendships and had a unique sense of timing. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Al was born in Paisley, Scotland, the first-born child of Isobel and Jim. Loving brother to Evelyn and Valerie and Uncle to Tom, Max and Jack.

Al had the skill of engaging with whoever he met, he had an interest in people and could always strike up a conversation.

Al was an outdoor person with a love of fishing, shooting, golf and sailing, he also loved a fast car.

Al was a life-long fan of Ipswich Town, seeing them through their glory days in the 1970s when they won the FA in 1978, he followed them religiously and more recently enjoyed seeing them promoted to the Championship.

At journeys end he bowed with grace.
