EVANS JAMES (JIM) Died 30th April 2023, late of Banbury Street. Beloved husband of Ann, much loved father of Lily, Jimbo, Gary, Robert, Annmarie, Dean and Jamie-Lee, a devoted grandfather and great grandfather. Funeral service to be held from 47 Frome Street, on Friday 12th May at 9.15am and afterwards to Roselawn Crematorium for 10.40am. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to The MacDermott Day Unit c/o Stephen McCosh Funeral Directors, 117-121 Shankill Road, Belfast, BT13 1FD. Will be sadly missed by his loving family circle. God called your name so softly that only you could hear and no one heard the footsteps of the angels drawing near. It broke our hearts to lose you but you did not go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home.

Jim,god looked down from heaven above and saw you were in pain, god knew that you would never get well on earth again, he gently closed your weary eyes and gave you peaceful rest because god above in heaven knows exactly what was best.
Peace after suffering, rest after pain we would not awake you to suffer again. Rest in peace JIM. SISTER IN LAW IRENE, BROTHER IN LAW RAB AND NEPHEW ROBERT.
XOXOXO

When I lost you Da
I wish I could see you one more time,
Come walking through the door
But I know that isn't possible,
I will hear your voice no more,
I know you can feel my tears
And you don't want me to cry,
Yet my heart is broken because
I can't understand why someone
So precious had to die
I pray that God will give me strength
And some how get me through
As I struggle with heartache
That came when I lost you
Love you
Your loving daughter Lily, son inlaw Peter and grandson Jason xoxo.

If I could write a story
It would be the greatest ever told
Of a kind and loving Dad
Who had a heart of gold
I could write a million pages
But still be unable to say, just how
Much I’ll love and miss him
Every single day

Every time I think of you
My heart just fills with pride,
And though I’ll always miss you, Dad,
I know you’re by my side
In laughter and in sorrow
In sunshine and in rain,
I know you’re watching over me
Until we meet again

Your memory is my keepsake
With which I’ll never part
God has you in his keeping
I have you in my heart

Night night Daddy, Your loving Daughter Annmarie❤️xoxo

I thought of you with love today
but that is nothing new
I thought about you yesterday
and days before that too,

I think of you in silence
I often speak your name
All I have are memories
and your picture in a frame.

Your memory is my keepsake
with which I’ll never part
God has you in His keeping
I have you in my heart.

RIP uncle Jim, loved and remembered always. Sarah, Holly & Joseph

Brother Jim,
God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,

He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.

He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.

God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.

He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.

So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, ‘Peace be thine’.

It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone,

For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
Your Brother Bill, nieces Linda & Lisa xxx 💙

Brother (Jim )

You gave no one a last farewell nor even said goodbye.
You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why.

A million times we will miss you
A million times we will cry .

If only love could have saved you -
You never would have died.

In life we love you dearly
In death we love you still.

You will always hold a special place in my heart that no one else can fill.

Your loving sister Jo and nephew Karl ❤️ 💙
