Jan, you did so much for others. Not only for friends and family, but those in the wider community. There are many children fortunate to have been in your care, and their lives were changed for the better. Thank you for your unconditional kindness.
I have wonderful childhood memories from time spent with you. Visits to yours with Mum were always fun! Picking conkers, exploring your garden, and laughing at how much butter you would put on toast.. (to name only a few!)
Thank you for loving my Mum. I know your loss weighs great on her. She will always cherish your friendship. You were not only a dear friend - you were a sister to her, and she loves you dearly. You will always be considered family to us.
Whilst we all miss you deeply, we take great comfort knowing you are reunited with the love of your life. We all send our love to you, Jan. Until we meet again x 🤍

I’ll never forget you nan! You were always a massive part of my life, you took me in & looked after me many times. I’ll never forget the laughs we shared, the holidays you took me on as a kid & the unconditional love you showed me. R.I.P Nanny Elston🌻🕊
