In loving memory of Andrew Johnson who sadly passed away suddenly yet peacefully on 20th March 2023.
As you will know Andrew lived the majority of his life in Hong Kong. He moved to the UK in 2017. During his time in Southend he formed many new friendships and was helped by the Mencap charity.
He could often be found wandering down Southend pier where he would always pop into the RNLI shop at the end, and purchase something.
He is greatly missed, but will always be fondly remembered by all of those whose path he crossed.

Shared Space Southchurch donated £300 in memory of Andrew

Always a pleasure to see my cousin Andrew, with his infectious sense of humour and love of information. From the other messages it seems he also had the same impact to a large number of people in the UK, despite a relatively short time since his move from Hong Kong. A great role model for all who had the honour of knowing him.

Andrew I had the pleasure of working with you and I see you as a friend.
I loved our chats, about Hong Kong, and your many travels around the world.
We both had a passion for rugby and chatted alot about this.

You will be leaving a big hole in all our lives.
Rest well mate.

Andrew was known to us since 2018 and was a much liked character at Ford House who was popular with staff and fellow residents. Andrew had a good sense of humour and was always abreast of current affairs and ensured staff were too! Andrew is very much missed and we pass on our thoughts and respect to his much loved family.
