Thank you for attending Alan’s funeral and for your generous donations to Alan’s chosen charities. The donations will go towards research and to helping people living with degenerative conditions, such as Parkinson’s and Corticobasal Degeneration, from which Alan suffered for 12 years. He endured the gradual loss of mobility and any kind of independence with such bravery and was so appreciative to all the doctors, nurses, carers, friends and family for their support

With our love and grateful thanks from Jennie, Mark, Shona, Iona and Amy Thomas

I'll always have such fond memories of our Uncle Alan - fun, generous and with lots of laughter. You'll be sorely missed. A great charity and cause for a horribly undeserved and cruel illness - your kind soul can now rest in peace. xxx

Today was a very sad one, we said goodbye to my brother Alan, who was a super guy, generous, kind and lots of fun, who certainly didn't deserve the pain and suffering he had endured over the last years. You can now RIP with no more pain. Love you for ever. Xx

Our dearest friend Alan will always be in our hearts. We feel blessed to have shared so many memorable and fun times together. Even now we can picture Alan's incredibly warm smile which endured through the time spent in his company. He loved a good chat and having fun. Whether dressed in a smart suit and tie or tuxedo or even in his Ben Sherman he always looked incredibly smart. We both loved to play snooker together with the odd pint of Guinness or even after dinner a whisky mac or two. Thankyou Alan for your love and friendship. ou

Now at rest and in a far better place. Memories of parties at Park Avenue, and coming out to find me on your moped when I got lost in the Bromley one-way system! Thank you for being there when needed.
I hope my donation will, in some small way, help fund research into this cruel illness and no-one has to suffer like he did.
