I visited Uncle Derek and Aunt Susan last year from home in Cumbria , combined with a visit to see Burton Albion play at home, Derek was in great form.

I’ll always remember his and Aunt Susan’s many visits to see us up north, my Mother Freda, his Sister loved visits from her big Brother.
We will all miss Derek’s sunny disposition, big smile and big personality,

Love and condolences to you all.

Adrian, Lynne and Michael.

Uncle Derek was a truly kind, joyful and giving figure. Every time he and Susan visited us in Cumbria was a great surprise and we loved spending time with them. I remember his warmth and smile being infectious. Him and Nana Freda were so alike in their generosity and positive spirit, that they left a wonderful impression on us growing up. He won't be forgotten and will always be thought of in the fondest of ways.

Lots of love and support to the family,

Thomas, Gary and Jake.
