I’ve only known Mel since her mouth cancer as was first introduced to her through the speech therapy department. I encouraged Mel to join our weekly zoom meetings and then we would meet for walks with Debbie (another mouth cancer friend) we loved our catch up walks together during the holidays. Mel attended the zooms virtually every week and is very much missed by all. We also had a lovely weekend away meeting up with zoom friends and made lovely memories. I’m going to miss all the laughs we had. Mel always protected me from dogs as we went about on our walks as I’m nervous around them. I’m so glad I got to see my lovely friend before she passed away. I think about her everyday and wished her death hadn’t been so sudden. Thank you Mel for your friendship and support always 💙
