In loving memory of Kathleen Freeman who sadly passed away on 13th January 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of Kath Freeman has to announce her passing on 13 January 2023, at the age of 75.

Kath passed away peacefully at John Eastwood Hospice and is lovingly remembered by her husband Dave, her son Mark and wife Melanie, George her grandson and sister Cynthia.

She has been a resident of South Normanton for 36 years, moving from Alfreton where she lived for 15 years on Prospect Street. When Kath retired, she loved spending time with her family, going out for meals and holidays abroad. She was devoted to her husband Dave and they loved going on long walks together and visiting the East Coast where they had a caravan for many years.

Kath will be sadly missed by all her family and will continue to be remembered by all the amazing memories she has left behind.

The funeral service will be held at Amber Valley Memorial Park Crematorium, Derby Road, Swanwick, DE55 1BH at 1.00pm on Friday 10th February 2023. All are welcome to attend, however the wake will be by invitation only due to limited numbers, please contact the family direct if you wish to attend the wake.

Please make charitable donations to John Eastwood Hospice and RNIB via the links.

What a lovely lady, so very sad to lose her after her brave battle with a terrible illness. We had the pleasure of knowing Kath for over 30 years, many family gatherings shared, making happy memories made. She was loved and will be missed by her friends and family.
Sending love to her family at this very sad time ❤️

Sending love to you all at this time.

I have Kath to thank with my whole heart for introducing me to Melanie my best friend!

Lots of years spent at the Toning Tables with Kath and her sister Cynthia, putting the world to rights over lots of cuppas! Her beautiful smile just like in the picture!

May you rest in peace Kath - love always Bev and Mark ❤️❤️

We are shocked and saddened at the loss of Frem's Mum, Kath.

Although I've not seen Kath for many years, I remember vividly her wonderful smile, and this photo is exactly how I remember her to be.

My earliest memory of Kath is from Prospect Street, when I used to call for Mark on the way to school. Kath was always there smiling in the back room, and very happy for us to have sweets as we left.

We hope you can take some comfort now that she is finally at rest.

With much love, Gary, Michelle, Rory & Hugo xxxx
