Having read through the messages, I can only agree that Charlie was an exceptional man embodying all that is good. Above all, he was kind, gentle, thoughtful and caring. He was a great asset to the Holy Family Jumbulance Group both on the trip to Lourdes and for years afterwards caring for the sick. We could not have managed without him. I had not seen you for some time Charlie but I still remember you growing the tallest sunflower in the parish to raise money. Lots of love to Rose, Marina and Kathleen. Patricia Herbing

In fond remembrance of a true Gentleman who always had a kind word and charming smile whenever I met him. Charlie & Rose were very kind and considerate immediate neighbours to my late Mum & Dad (John & Doris Fuller) for many years.

Charlie was a lovely, kind and caring man. He welcomed us into his family and his home. He loved to hear about my family and we loved hearing about his life especially when he was younger. We will always remember his lovely smile and his generosity. It was lovely to meet him at Rose's birthday party, and see how proud he was of Rose and all his family. We will have many fond memories of meeting Charlie.
Love from Tim, Chris, Charlotte and Jenny

Uncle Charlie you and aunty Rose were always so thoughtful, and kind to all of your nieces and nephews. You never forgot any occassion and would always send a card or a phone call.
