In loving memory of Jeannette Anne "Netty" Frood who sadly passed away on 31st December 2022.

Netty was born in Southend and grew up down Colemans Avenue, she was the daughter of Thomas Bennion and Jean Bennion, she had 6 siblings Kevin, Paul, Michelle, David, John and Samantha.

She attended Earls Hall primary school and Eastwood senior school where she was known as titsalina bum squirt, we can all guess why lol.

At the age of 17, she met her wonderful husband Anthony (Tony) and within six months they married, at the age of 18 she had her first child Ricky, then went on to have four more Jolene, Dean, Hayley and Mark. She would take us on picnics in the summer and there would always be an egg Mayo and cress sandwich in tow. There was also many nights we would play monopoly and even some of the kids from down the road would join in. She would come on the rides with us at adventure island and she was an awesome skater, she could even skate backwards.

Although at times she could be firm, she was a wonderful mother who was always there to pick you up if you were to fall, she would tell you everyday that she loved you and would stroke your head when you was ill. She loved all her children dearly and it showed.

As a Nan she was wonderful too, her grandchildren all adored her Jasmine, Rebecca, Isabelle, Rose, Sophia, Sebastian, Harmony and Noah. She would give them all lots of hugs when they would let her and lots of treats and she loved picking them out presents. Although she won't get to meet Ezra, he will hear all the wonderful stories of he's awesome nanny netty.

She was a strong woman but had a heart of gold and a dirty sense of humour. Everyone that met her loved her and she made them smile.

Her husband Tony was the love of her life and they loved each other dearly, I am sure we will all miss going round to see mum in her seat and dad in he's, jokingly calling each others name, but when either was ill they were right by their side even after forty years of marriage, they are a true inspiration to us all.

I could go on forever as she really was a wonderful human being, who I am proud to call my mother. But I will leave you with some wisdom, we don't know how long we are on this earth for so enjoy life, make lots of
memories and love as if there was no tomorrow xx

Poem by Jolene Frood
A pain so deep right now a feeling that won’t go away. Your the whisper of the leaves as we walk down the street and the silence in the night that never seems to end. Your all the colours of the rainbow and the rain that tries to make us sleep. We didn’t want you to go mum we wasn’t prepared for that there’s so much more we need to do best friends don’t go away. We want to thank you for loving us so much you always knew what we needed to hear. Your laughter lives on inside of us and we will do you proud xxx love you mum
