Now that I think everyone who will be posting has posted, I would just like to thank everyone for their contributions and sharing their memories of Kate with us all. Reading about those memories and the lovely things you have all said about Kate - including her personal qualities, spirit, heart and compassion for others - has given me as her father great, great comfort and a real sense of pride. I am sure that is also the case for all of our other family members too. That comfort and pride is, of course, mixed with a deep sadness, the deepest that can be imagined. She was a wonderful girl. A genuine, fearless and loyal person when the chips were down. And a fighter. Kate proved herself as time went by to have the qualities that any father would be proud of in their son or daughter. She is irreplaceable and her loss at such a young age is so, so tragic. But I shall be proud of her and love her as deeply as it is possible to love anyone until the day I die and we are reunited. Thank you all again for your contributions, memories and accolades and thanks to all of you and others that attended her funeral. So many more than we ever expected and that too is testimony to the person Kate was and what she meant to all of us. May God bless all of you and we wish you all the very best. Stephen

Kate and me at

Kate and me at "Kate's Beach" - Barmston. This is the beach where we spent so many hours with her as a small girl and which we revisited in 2017 once her recovery from cancer was underway. Its a special place!

Ive not posted before now as ive not really known what to say. We met many years ago in our fave place the pub. I cant remember how or why we spoke the first time but we became good friends. The memories i have which cant be shared because we said we never would still make me smile. Your nan constantly trying to marry us off and the pact we made if we was still both single on your 40th we would lol. You knew you was loved by many but you could never accept how much. Youre going to be missed by many from your daughters to your siblings and parents. Youre going to be missed by all of your friends and for me personally am gonna miss that madhead who could make me smile by just saying hello. I just wish your illness and then anxiety stopped you meeting my wife because i know the 2 of you would have got on like a house on fire. Sleep well darling xxxx

Sorry I didn't get to know you better, Kate. We were "across the hall" neighbours for the last 18 months, but we barely saw each other because you were poorly. I am just so glad that for the last couple of weeks, you finally came out of your flat and relived life again. You looked stunning when you went out .... Great clothes, spring in your step, new haircut .... And those eyelashes!
Thank you for the few pleasant conversations we had, and for being the decent neighbour in the block 😊
Sleep well, lovely lady. xx

Kate you were a big part of my child hood living next door but one to your nanna Joan and grandad Bob, spent alot of time with you growing up when you were visiting your grandparents and when you were home in Germany we wrote to each other regular sending each other little gifts, I remember learning you how to ride a bike and we still joked about that all the time, we never seen much of each other in our adult years but we made sure we stayed in contact... See you tomorrow mate on your final journey, you will be forever missed and never forgotten beautiful ♥️
