John Stuart

We are saddened to announce the loss of John on the 16th of December 2022. John died peacefully at his home at Oak-Leas, Whitley Road with his family by his side.
John was a well-loved husband to Pauline, an inspiring fun-loving father to Andrew, Melanie, Rachael, Vicky and the late Simon, and a very proud grandad and great grandad to an amazing large family; a wonderful friend to many and a well-known person in the wider community.
“If we could write a story about his life, it would be the greatest story ever told, he was a kind and loving man who touched many lives and who continues to be a powerful influence on us all. “

There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others, so please join us for the funeral service to share memories and celebrate his life at St Mary & St Michael Church Whitley on Thursday the 5th of January at 2pm followed by a committal at Dewsbury Moor crematorium.

Donations in memory of John may be made online or sent to George Brooke Ltd. Our intention is to remember John by donations to Admiral nurses at Kirkwood Hospice.
