In loving memory of Amy Catherine "Cath" Gabriel who sadly passed away on 31st October 2022.

Cath and I had a wonderful childhood together, and although she had to cope with schizophrenia and autism later in life, she remained the most beautiful, special, funny, loving, loyal and honest (in a childlike brutal way!) person in the world. If you met her, you’d never forget her, and she kept everyone on their toes, including her cancer surgeon! Her wacky ways were very entertaining, in particular sending her weekly letters to the prime minister! Not with policy ideas but with hairstyles and cooking recipes! I will miss her terribly and life will feel very strange without her, and not having to care for her anymore.
I take comfort though that she will back in heaven with our mum and dad, whom she loved and missed enormously
.

Cath was always fun and always had a magical way of making us laugh. I looked forward to her letters and used to try her recipes out - but didn't try the hairstyles! (I don't think they would suit me...) My fondest memory of her was at a family funeral when I was seven - she looked after me and cheered me up by pretending we were horses showjumping over rows of flowers at the cemetery!

Darling Catherine, always beautiful, always a joy to be with. Heaven will be all the better with you there. My lovely first-born niece. I was in hospital with my twin sister Jackie and we both had our newborn baby girls at the same time. It was lovely to have 'twin cousins' and we were all so proud of you. You were a delight from the day you were born. I will miss you.
