Loving wife of Gerald (Gerry/Ger), and sister of Steve, Martin (Flerty) and Simon (Simby); and caring companion of dog Lulu. She will be remembered by all of the extended family and friends as a sporty, energetic, determined, forthright and funny individual. She was unique.

I feel so blessed that our paths crossed, and I will always cherish our memories: our swimming hangouts, watching the X Factor with Jerry and Mr. Lenny, and later with Lulu as well, our trips and walks, and our time working together at Queen's. You were, and still are, my UK family. You are in my heart.
Love you more,
Viorica

I have known Carole first in professional, later in personal capacity. She has been a great mentor to me but moreover, she invited me into her and her family’s lives while I was a stranger in Taunton in 2011.
I spent a marvellous year in her company, on my way to the school canteen and back three times a day; we would go swimming every Friday, and on weekends she and Gerry would take me on fun trips around the country. I remember all those little moments when we watched telly together (Chelsea matches and Eggheads, mostly) drinking Carole’s favourite red, but above all, the laughs we had when a FB had passed us by or when Gerry amused us with his famous gay walk. Those memorable fun times include one when Carole made me carry Lulu’s poo around the hills on one of our many walks, as well as when we giggled and enjoyed loads of sweets on our night out (Breaking Dawn part 1!) with the Hutton House girls.
My dear Carole, you will always be in my heart (not only every time I order Lemon Chicken takeaway) and I am proud and humbled to have had you as a friend. Next time I see you might not be in Cornwall, Taunton, Cambridge, nor Prague, but it will be a wonderful encounter. We love you k***a more, Lucie+Lukáš+Josefína+Benedikt

We've lost a very special friend. We enjoyed loads of wonderful walks together in West Somerset. Gerry and Carole were much missed at Minehead Golf Club when they moved to Bude. I have enjoyed several visits there over the years and have always felt so welcome.
