In loving memory of Terry Lawrence who sadly passed away on 13th September 2022

David Billings wrote

I have just learned of my uncle's passing. I moved from England when I was young but did get to speak with him over the phone last year. I was planning to visit him next month(Feb 23). My condolences to Sandra and the family. I hope to see them next month if they are willing? God bless.

Terry - Your thoughtful and helpful ways have always been much appreciated especially with regard to my Mum and Dad (John & Betty Allen) and of course many other neighbours that you were only too happy to assist with diy jobs. I know they are devastated by your loss but feel so lucky to have known your friendship, hospitality and your fabulous shirts! RIP

Such a privilege to have known you, Terry; a good friend and great neighbour. We benefited from your DIY skills, your generosity, your hospitality, and your humour ... far too many laughs to count! You will never be forgotten ... and neither will those shirts (indeed, how could they be?) It is lovely to donate to your favourite charity in your memory; thank you for affording us the opportunity.

Grandad I’m still very angry this has happened to you, life really isn’t fair in many ways!

I really didn’t know what to say other than thank you for being my Crazy Grandad with your silly stories you would tell me, Zach and I’m sure the other Grandchildren growing up, from your silly lines of “what’s your game” and “ the police are coming “ the countless funny tapes we’d all laugh at.

Thanks for expressing that you were proud of what I’d achieved thus far, your opinion meant a lot to me as my Grandad and as a man who brought up four children and worked hard even after retirement.
I always had the absolute respect for you and I’m truly heart broken your gone, love you and RIP x

  • Such a beautiful message Luke. I can remember he told you and Zach a story about a postman one time. It was complete nonsense but you and Zach loved it and sat transfixed on his every word. I’d forgotten about that. Thank you for reminding me of those memories ❤️❤️
