My brothers and I have started this memorial page in loving memory of Roy Pavitt, our dad, who sadly passed away on 9th September 2022 following a stroke in April.
Dad requested only immediate family flowers please, but if you would like to make a donation in his memory his chosen charity was Alzheimer’s Society. Dad chose this charity as it was so close to his heart after our beloved Mum suffered with Alzheimer’s before her passing.
Dad continued to be independent right up to his stroke in April; still living in the bungalow he had shared with Mum. He was still enjoying walks along the seafront, getting the bus to East Beach, Shoebury and walking to Leigh-on-Sea . The seafront was his and Mum's favourite place.
Dad's funeral will take place on Wednesday 12th October. The first service is at the Rochford Methodist Church, North Street, Rochford, SS4 1AD starting at 12.45pm. We will then be going onto the Southend Crematorium, Sutton Road, Southend-on-Sea, SS2 5PX for his committal service which starts at 2:00pm, all are welcome. After this all will be welcome to join the family at The Rochford Methodist Church Hall for refreshments as we remember Dad's life.
