In loving memory of my darling husband, Jeremy (Jerry) Burrows who sadly passed away at Fair Havens Hospice on 11th August 2022.
Jerry only became unwell around April/May this year. Following extensive tests, we had the devastating news that the skin cancer he had been treated for 8 years ago had returned and that this was incurable but treatable. Following one round of immunotherapy, Jerry's health rapidly deteriorated and he received palliative care for the last few days of his life.
Jerry was totally unique. He was fun-loving and caring. He loved his golf and found it very difficult in his last few months being too unwell to play. Most of all, he loved me, the boys and the rest of the family so much and always wanted to make sure we were all fine, which is what I loved about him the most.
Following our wonderful wedding last October, we were both so excited about our future life together, having bought our dream home in Benfleet and having our 5 children and wider family around us. For this to be taken away from Jerry is beyond comprehension.
Our only consolation is that we are all pretty sure Jerry died a happy and contented man.
Wendy x

So very sorry to hear of the passing of Jeremy. He was a great friend of the Roberts family, we all used to play as kids in Elm Road Shoeburyness. Our mum Pat was a dear friend to Jeremy's mum Vera. Our thoughts are with you all love from the Roberts Family.
