Very sorry to hear that Evan has died: I represent his Publisher, Tuba Press, and have been missing his Xmas Cards, and thus was worried about him. I knew his Late wife Susan Bartlett,
and himself, when we were all in London circa 1980. A fine man. A good friend of mine.

Belated with my response here to Evan's passing, inspired now by a feeling his poetic legacy should be kept alive. I trust this will be so. We went back a long way and shared a lot of drinking and thinking time together, in Manchester and Soho and the Bohemia which with Evan was just about where ever we happened to be. He introduced me to Tambimuttu, no less, a mixed blessing. Then there was on occasion Evan's soul-mate Swansea poet the late Viv Griffith to add to the creative shouting and bawling. Such times. Such pub crawls. We first staggered into each other 1973 as fellow undergraduate students and fellow poets who drank more than they should in the interests of their art. We exchanged our poetry publications to the end. I was alerted to his critical state when I had no acknowledgement from him to one of my books. Much missed.
