I have seen this notice three years too late but just wanted to say I remember Moira in the late 70s when we both worked together in the same office in Acton in London. I was very young and she took me under her wing. Great Cordon Bleu cook too. Fondly remembered. So sorry she was ill. RIP now dear lady

  • Thank you Pamela for your kind message. I think of her cooking skills often!! My mother lived an active life until she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. She spent her last years in residential care sadly.

Rest in Peace dear friend.
We go a long way back to school days and when you came to live in Sydney for a while, we shared 2 lovely holidays in Tasmania and the NW of W Australia which we both enjoyed very much. I also have fond memories of your cooking when I was nursing in London for a while! All such a long time ago - with fond love from Tich oxoxo

We were sorry to hear of Moira’s passing - we have fond memories of meeting with her and Sarah and family at various places in inner Sydney when when we visited. Moria was always bright and happy and enjoyed the occasions.

I am so sorry to hear of Moira's passing. I have very fond memories of her. I 1982 she brought me a teapot all the way from England to Iceland. I treasured it for decades. Later, when I moved to the UK, I had many delicious meals in her flat in Ealing, London. I particularly remember her pineapple meringue pudding. RIP.
