In loving memory of Margareth Parker who sadly passed away on 24th August 2015

Mum was 92years of age when she passed last Monday.

Mum was born in Norway and lived her early years there, she always loved to talk of her pram having ski's instead of wheels. Her Mother Theresa, and Father, Bjorn, moved to America whilst Mum was still a small child, together with her elder brother Barry they started a new life in USA.

When Mumwas approximately 10years of age her parents seperated and Mum together with her Mother and Barry moved to England and eventually set up home in Weston-Super-Mare.

It was whilst at Weston that my Mum eventually met and married my Dad, Stanley, following a failed marriage that had only one good thing to show for it, my late brother Malcolm.

Mum and Dad were together until Dad became dangerously ill early into the 2000's and could no longer be a carer for Mum. Dad came to live with me and Mum eventually went into sheltered housing and then on to a nursing home.

Alzheimers had taken a total grip on Mum and although she did not know who anyone was she was always happy. The staff loved being with her as she would always have a smile for them and enjoyed nothing more than holding hands with everyone.

Mum was a very strong character and adventure was something she lacked in her life but not in her character. She brought many villages, we lived in over the years, to life with her ideas on annual produce shows, fairs
and community events. Mum loved to paint and was adept at handicrafts such as tatting, knitting and sewing to name but a few.

Mum will always have a lasting memories for me, some good some not so good, Mum did find it hard to embrace the hippy culture that I loved.

Rest in peace Mum and keep up the good work of creating. xx

For you Mum xx
