Of Wakefield, formerly of Halifax passed away in the safe care of Rothwell Nursing Home, on 5th May 2022, in her 80th year, Judith, beloved sister of Robert, a very dear and loved sister-in-law, auntie and great auntie and a dear friend to many. A private committal will be held at Wakefield Crematorium on Friday 17th June 2022 followed by a Mass and thanksgiving for her life at Wakefield Cathedral at 3pm. Family and friends please accept this intimation and meet at the Cathedral. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be sent to George Brooke Ltd, Funeral Directors, Dewsbury for the benefit of Wheatfields Hospice and Illingworth Moor Methodist Church, Halifax.
“At Peace”
I really struggled joining junior school aged 7. Mrs Woodhead was fabulous. She came to get me from my dad every day and each time I managed not to cry gave me 20p to put in the RSPCA jar. I have never forgotten her kindness or her humour. And of course, Peter the Budgie! X
Miss Woodhead joined just after I did. She was a brilliant teacher and kept us all in line. Happy memories...
My favourite teacher! Miss Woodhead was my first teacher at WGHS and was my favourite through all my school. Firm but with a great sense of humour. Wonderful memories of her class and of Peter the budgie.
