About Us

Jennifer Ashe & Son Funeral Directors' sixth funeral home opened in 2024 and is honoured to be taking care of loved ones and serving communities within Oxley and the surrounding areas. The Oxley Funeral Home will allow the team to extend their compassionate services and support a greater number of families as they help them navigate such difficult times during bereavement.

The staff at Jennifer Ashe & Son take great pride in caring for families and their loved ones through the generations and will ensure every family is provided with the utmost attention and respect that they deserve, as well as build strong, lasting relationships with the communities they serve.

The Oxley branch is open Monday to Friday from 09:30 to 16:30. An on-call Funeral Director is available 24-hours every day, should a loved one need to be urgently taken into care.

    I am sad to say that they messed up things, including them calling me on the day of my husbands funeral, talking to me in such an inappropriate manner I had to pass the phone to my daughter who had heard everything he said. We had to chase up things, I was called by someone who was actually at the doctors to say they would send things over to me for the funeral,why he couldn't wait until he had left the doctors is beyond me . I never saw the same person, it was ashame as the first lady I saw was wonderful. The actual funeral was great, I can't complain about that, it's just sad that at my most saddest time, they were lacking.

    I must respond to the points you have raised.

    You contacted us on a Saturday, less than 24 hours after the celebrant had visited you to gather the details for the funeral. At that stage you were asking for a running order because you wished to get your own order of service booklets printed. As our branches do not open at weekends, our out-of-hours team explained this, but to support you, we contacted the celebrant and asked him to be in touch as soon as he could. He kindly rang you straightaway, despite being at a doctor’s appointment at the time, to reassure you that once he was home (within the hour) he would send everything across. It is regrettable that you have chosen to criticise this, rather than recognise that he went out of his way to respond to you so promptly outside of normal working hours.

    On your two visits to our funeral home you met two arrangers – the first was the staff member normally based at that branch, and the second was Angela, who was covering during her colleague’s annual leave. This is entirely normal and ensures continuity of care for all families.

    With regard to the morning of the funeral, the call you received was from our Senior Funeral Director and Operations Manager. You had requested for a photograph to be displayed on the crematorium’s screens. However, the photograph had not been provided to us. With only a 15-minute window remaining for an upload to the crematorium, and determined to make sure everything was as perfect as possible for you, our Funeral Director personally contacted the company responsible for uploading the photographs. He asked them to intervene directly on your behalf, which they did, the photograph was sent to the Crematorium who were then contacted and asked to reboot their system inbetween funerals to ensure the photo uploaded correctly for you. We also absorbed their additional fee rather than passing it on to you. Thanks to those efforts, the photograph was successfully displayed during the service.

    I am pleased you have acknowledged the funeral itself was carried out beautifully. That is what matters most, and it reflects the genuine care and professionalism of my team, as is consistently recognised in the many five-star reviews we receive.

    The staff are very polite and courteous they treat you with respect at all times and help you choose which cremation/burial you would like. They never force you with anything. I have also had a cremation for my mom with exactly the same courteous, polite attitude. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs help with a funeral or cremation.

    Samantha and the team of people at Jennifer Ashe are the most caring and compassionate people i had met, Samantha went above and beyond for me and my family when my beloved wife 'Sam' passed away.

    I can only say that the way Samantha handled my wife's funeral was true professionalism from start to finish , from the moment I first walked through the door I felt at ease, when not the easiest time in my life. Organized the carriage and horses , fantastic. Martin Jinks who led the service one in a million again made a difficult time a lot easier. I could not recommend highly enough , 5 stars not enough.     Jennifer Ashe took care of my Moms funeral from the Oxley Branch. Losing a loved one can be stressful and traumatic. From the moment I made the call to them at the weekend the service has been superb. Within a couple of hours of my call ,Mom was collected from her home by two men who treated her and the family with full respect. My Sister and I went to the Oxley Office to organise the funeral. We met Sam who immediately put us at ease and talked us through our options. We chose to have the ceremony at the branch as the room was perfect for our needs and wishes of Mom. We met the celebrant Joe who would oversee the funeral. The service was superb as Joe and Sam attended to our needs. In short from start to finish everything was 5 star. We even had a few laughs along the way. Thank you Sam for your guidance and respect.
