The entire handling of the funeral from the very first contact was dealt with very personally and with total compassion and dignity. The care that was taken not just of Brian but the entire family was first class, ensuring that all wishes were taken into account and that the actual day went as well if not better than expected. A thoroughly professional service I would feel happy to recommend to anyone.

Couldn’t ask for any better. The service, the compassion, and professionalism is out of this world. I couldn’t of got through it without the team. They thought of everything. Liam and Alan supported us through every step and have amazing customer service skills. Adding finishing touches you wouldn’t even think off.

I decided that I would have Southgate & Roberts to arrange the funeral of my dearest wife Lynn, this was the best decision I’ve ever made.

Southgate and Roberts Funeral Directors were nothing short of excellent; from the beginning to the end of their help and service.
A highly appropriate and efficient mixture of respect and humane care; imbued with a clear expertise and experience in their field. All of those in attendance remarked on what a beautiful and memorable occasion it had been. Their truly thoughtful and considerate approach, especially towards my grieving mother, made every step a journey made together, and it is true to say I will consider them friends of the family forever. Thanks go in particular to Liam, who made a potentially very upsetting process, far less so.

Being a non-british citizen, it would have been very difficult for me to organise and manage the funeral of my late brother who sadly passed away in Ipswich,UK. My family in Mauritius were extremely worried as to how shall we perform a Hindu funeral ceremony. BUT, fortunately we came across Southgate& Roberts Funenal Directors. Not only they took care of everything but also made all arrangements for a convenient Hindu funeral ceremony.

Communication with Southgate& Roberts Funeral Directors was excellent and they were available at all time via mobile or email. No stone was left unturned to give my brother a decent hindu funeral in his last journey to heaven.

The price was very affordable and all facilities were put in front of us to attend the ceremony. Transport facilities, paperworks, liason with other departments, hospital, coroner`s office etc were all handled with great ability and sense of management.

I have now in my country, Mauritius and I am extremely relieved for having performed the right ceremony for my brother in his home town of Ipswich and I am mostly thankful to Liam of Southgate & Roberts funeral directors.

Thanks to them, my brother`s journey towards the blue sky has been made in a very decent manner. May his soul now rest in peace.

We are in Norwich but choose to use this funeral directors in Ipswich, due to hearing great things about them, and What a fantastic, kind, thoughtful and caring funeral directors they were they exceeded in every single way , always went the extra mile and was on the other end of the phone day and night answering questions and putting our minds at rest, I know my grandad was looked after so well, I felt at ease knowing my grandad was in such great hands, as a family we wouldn't use any other funeral directors than Southgate and roberts ,thank you again for everything you amazing people

The gratitude and respect that I have for Liam the Funeral Director and his wonderful Colleagues at the Ipswich Funeral home Southgate & Roberts is almost beyond my capability to express in the written word.

My dear Mother passed away in March 2019, she had several health issues but her death was unexpected. My Mothers passing hit my family, family friends and I like an express train. As the eldest son, I took responsibility for organizing what needs to be done after a family loses such a special person. I was numb with grief and shock but thankfully I made a call to Southgate & Roberts. Liam introduced himself then he talked my family and me through every step we needed to take to lay my Mother to rest. This review could become a book of gratitude with ease but I will mention that at one point my Mother thought she had secured a plot that would allow her to be laid to rest with her own Mother and Husband. However this was not the case and it was only because of Liam's professionalism, knowledge and dedication that my Mother had her wish forefilled

The result was a beautiful ceremony that reflected the life and personality of my mother in a way that her family and friends will look back on with a smile, with great love and of course sadness. I found Southgate & Roberts Funeral Directors to be very professional and offered a great service at a very reasonable cost. Everything went very smoothly on the day which was excellent as one doesn't want to be worrying about the tiny details. They were exceptional and I would not hesitate to recommend them and indeed Very caring use them again should I have the need. Very caring and compassionate.
